Gong BanQian Four Hundred And Seventeen

2016

This work stems from an encounter the artists had during their survey of Dragon Cave, where upon hearing a loud and crisp “dang” noise, they discovered several visitors’ walnut drink cans littered along the cavern floor. From this interaction the “Golden Walnut Drink Essay Competition” was conceived and local middle school students were asked to participate. The winning student received Zheng Guogu’s Golden Walnut Drink Trophy and their essay became a public notice outside of the cave. Both the students and the public will attend the “Golden Walnut Public Service Day and Dragon Cave Concert” and the notice board opening ceremony. L sub plans to continue the multi-media public service project over the span of two years, involving four parts and three practices to bring this project alive.
