Adrian Wong Ho-Yin
Hypnagogia I
2010
The barber’s pole in the shape of octagon on the two ends of this artwork, as a basic visual element, is commonly seen in Hong Kong. Different from Untitled Wall IV by Adrian Wong in the exhibition, this piece tries catching the eternally rotating energy hidden in the city of Hong Kong. Like a perpetual motion machine, it calls on the fatalistic return of the artist's "Hong Kong identity".
